NAS Tournament Round One

The first round of the National All Style competition started on Sunday the 21st of March with one competitor from Fire Dragon, Luke Pedrana. Both Master Hardy and Shifu Bellchambers were officials for the competition.
Luke competed in forms, point sparring and continuous sparring, bringing credit to Fire Dragon in all three events. He was competing in the 16-17 yrs 10th kyu - 5th kyu forms, 16-17yrs male open sparring for points and continuous. Luke won his forms competition comfortably against only one opponent, but faced more opposition in sparring. Although though this was his first competition he fought very well and gained yet another first place trophy! Continuous sparring was next, with Luke again fighting well, winning his first round against a black belt competitor He was however defeated in his next round but finished in a very creditable third place.
Overall, an excellent performance, and great promise - congratulations, Luke!
