2007 - EVENTS AND MARCH TRAINING

11 March 2007

2007 started with a rush of activities, which has precluded keeping our News Flashes up to date - Fire Dragon apologises to students.

We also hope to have a Web News Update on the site this month, covering last year, and the beginning of 2007 - there is a lot to report on!

By way of a quick summary, so far this year, Fire Dragon Instructors and students have performed four demonstrations with the National Multicultural Festival, including a well received public one, one for the members of the Australia China Friendship Society, another as part of the Chinese New Year celebrations at the Chinese Embassy, and another for the 2007 AKWF National Championships tournament.

And, most recently, another small but tight demonstration for the North Ainslie Primary School's Multicultural Festival.

So a busy time for many, with opportunities to learn and become sharp!

Unfortunately, some studnets have sustained injuries, but it is encouraging to see them training as best they can, and making progress despite all!

Training on weekends has been offered in January and February, and continues during March. The first training in March will be Sunday 11th, at the Summer training time of 5.00 pm, and still at Downer Oval.

Another training will be offered on Saturday March 24th; however students should note that training on this weekend will be earlier - at 3.00 pm.
